Labor Doula Package & Fees

I want to help you have a good experience of childbirth, free from judgment and without apologizing for what you want and need from this experience. My commitment is to support you throughout your pregnancy, birth, and postpartum however you need with the goal of helping you have a positive birth experience, whatever that looks like for you. I provide physical and emotional support, evidence-based information, and advocacy to ensure you feel as safe, supported, and respected in your process as possible. I present grounded, thoughtful, evidence-based information about all your options without judgment or prescription to help you make thoughtful decisions for yourself.

Professionally trained and certified in labor support, I will help you get the information you need to make the right  choices for you and your family in your pregnancy, birth, and postpartum period. I will support you with kindness and compassion. You cannot offend me or make a decision I won’t like. My commitment is always to you. This is a very special time in your life and it is an honor to help you in this transition.

My birth doula services are available for all pregnant people and all types of birth plans. I work in all local hospitals & birth centers and assist at homebirths. I work both virtually and in-person depending on your location and needs. I support clients who are seeking unmedicated childbirth, vaginal birth after a Cesarean birth (VBAC), who are planning to have an epidural, who are high-risk for any reason, who are planning an induction of labor, who are giving birth to twins or triplets, and who are having a planned Cesarean birth.

I am comfortable with any choices that you make and will support you non-judgmentally and unconditionally. I have extensive experiences in NYC hospitals and birth centers, and with the midwifery and OB groups at each,  as well as knowledge of the policies & practices at each location. I also have extensive knowledge of childbirth outside of NYC and can support you virtually anywhere you are. I have worked in patient/hospital advocacy for over two decades and can support you in any ways you need.

I offer a complimentary initial meeting to discuss your plans and my services. After this initial meeting, if you hire me to be your doula, I will offer you unlimited phone and video sessions throughout your pregnancy plus one in-person prenatal meeting in your home. During these meetings I can answer any questions you have, we can talk through both what you would like and what you can expect, we can practice breathing techniques, try out a variety of labor positions, and talk through your coping strategies and relaxation techniques. I will assist you in thinking through your birth preferences and creating a birth plan and I will help you prepare any questions you would like to talk to your care provider about. We can also talk about how you are preparing yourself and your home for postpartum and your new baby. These meetings are tailored to your needs and desires, and I am always flexible to be of the greatest assistance to you. You also have unlimited text/phone/email support—reach out anytime with questions!

Additionally, I offer all of my clients a comprehensive set of classes including childbirth education classes (Labor & Comfort, What to Expect at the Hospital, Induction of Labor, and Cesarean Birth), a lactation class, a newborn care class, and a postpartum prep class. You will also have access to a bonus pushing class taught by my colleague. In total this is over 10 hours of education. These are small group classes held on live on Zoom (or a recording is available if you prefer). If you would like a private class on infant feeding, welcoming a second child, preparing for a homebirth, VBAC, or other topics, these are also available.

As your doula, I offer 24-hour support for you throughout your pregnancy and I am on-call for you from the time you hire me until you have your baby. I will provide physical and emotional support throughout your labor and birth including: relaxation and breathing techniques; assistance with laboring positions and techniques to help labor progress; physical support such as massage and counter pressure or instruction in how other support people can provide this support; and information, encouragement, and on-going emotional support. I will help you navigate the hospital (if you are birthing there) and be an advocate for you. Following the birth, I will provide help with feeding your baby and caring for yourself postpartum.
