Labor & Comfort

Labor & Comfort is a 90 minute long class where I cover: pre-labor and early labor signs, cervical exams. membrane sweeps, identifying contractions, timing contractions, and labor coping techniques including: breathing, laboring positions, massage, and counter-pressure, among many others. We also talk about what to expect in labor, signs of labor progress, and indications you should go to the hospital. All classes are taught via Zoom and recordings are available any time if you’d prefer to watch a recording or the live dates do not work for your schedule. The fee for this class is $100. What to Expect at the Hospital

What to Expect at the Hospital is a 90 minute class where I cover: arriving at the hospital and triage expectation, monitoring and mobility in the hospital, laboring in a hospital, pain relief options including talking through what getting an epidural is like and how to aid labor progress with an epidural, pushing, assisted vaginal deliveries, vaginal tearing, and the immediate postpartum for both vaginal and Cesarean births. This class comes with two recordings that you can watch anytime you would like: Induction of Labor (90 mins) and Cesarean Birth (50 mins). In these classes, I cover reasons for an induction, what to expect in an induction, induction methods, augmentation of labor, and advocating for yourself in an induction. In Cesarean birth I cover reasons for a Cesarean, what to expect in the operating room, support during Cesareans, ‘gentle Cesareans’, immediate postpartum after a Cesarean, and more. Included with these classes are also a birth plan template and a hospital packing list. All classes are taught via Zoom and recordings are available any time if you’d prefer to watch a recording or the live dates do not work for your schedule. Newborn Care Class

Newborn care class is a 90 minute class that includes information about standard newborn procedures at birth, skin-to-skin contact and bonding, normal newborn behaviors, newborn soothing techniques, dressing, swaddling, feeding, sleeping, bathing, babywearing, diapering, finger nail trimming, baby acne, CPR basics, car seat safety, and parenting. Included with the class is also information on selecting a pediatrician. All classes are taught via Zoom and recordings are available if you’d prefer to watch a recording or the live dates do not work for your schedule. The fee for this class is $100. Lactation Class


Lactation class is a 90 minute long class intended to help you set your expectation and prepare for feeding your baby with your body. We talk about colostrum and initiating feeding, hand expression, latching, nursing positions, the frequency and duration of feeding sessions, signs of success, the gear you need (and don’t need), how and when to pump, milk storage and bottle feeding pumped milk, common feeding problems and solutions, what to do and not to do while nursing, weaning, and resources for getting help. All classes are taught via Zoom and recordings are available if you’d prefer to watch a recording or the live dates do not work for your schedule. The fee for this class is $100. Postpartum Prep

Postpartum prep is a 60 minute class where I cover: the immediate postpartum, healing and expectations for both vaginal births and Cesarean births, what to expect in the first months after giving birth, and also what to expect in the first year after giving birth. We cover a wide range of topics including physical healing, emotional support, mood, hair loss, returning to physical activity, postpartum intimacy and sex, fertility, sleep, scar massage, working out, and making a postpartum plan, among other topics. I cover what products are actually helpful and all the supplies you do not need to buy. Included with this class are lots of resources for mental health support, a list of things to have on hand for postpartum, lists of things to take home from the hospital for yourself and your baby, and more. All classes are taught via Zoom and recordings are available if you’d prefer to watch a recording or the live dates do not work for your schedule. The fee for this class is $75.
